Battle System

Like the previous Final Fantasy games, the combat is menu-based. However, unlike the previous games of the series, the Battle system looks more similar to that of Final Fantasy XI battle system, where the combat takes place on the same screen, with a free-roam mode and the battle is in real time (just think of MMORPG and you'll get the point).

Battle commands are includes ; Attack, Magic, Skills, Mist Cart, Gambits, and Item. The game also features a chain bonuses-system. If you kill a particular type of monster multiple times, there's a chance you will an improved items after the battle. Money is no longer dropped by monsters, much like Final Fantasy VIII. It can be acquired by performing tasks, hunting monsters, or selling weapons or items.

The monsters in Final Fantasy 12 is also slighty smarter ; they're not just lurking around, they are able to trap your characters in many different ways. They can heal, run, trap, ambush, etc ,so beware of them.

More to come soon....
