What is Quickening ?
They Called it Mist knacks in Japan?, but it was Quickening in US version. There are 2 types of Mist, one is summoning, the other one is Quickening.  Quickening is also called “Overdrive” or “Limit Break” in previous FF games, but function more differently

 Why use Quickening?

1. Quickening ignores protect, reflect, magic resistance and immunities,
2. Quickening Hurts anything and can kill anything.
3. Quickening powers gets stronger as your character level goes up.
4. True Powers of your Characters is in the Chaining of multiple Quickening Hits. The more you Chain the more damage you dealt, and you will also unleash a powerful final Quickening attack!
5. No Caps damage for Quickening

How does it works ?

1. choose 3 character with at least learned the rank 1 of their quickening.

2.  their MP should be full to unleash Quickening.

3. Lets say you have Vaan, Ashe and Penelope in your party, lets say you choose Vaan to unleash the first hit of Quickening.

4. Vaan will perform the Quickening in an awesome cutscene, you will see a time bar below the screen and on the upper bar you will see  Square button -->Ashe and an X button --> Penelope , quickly press one of this button for at least twice to make it work. (sometimes 3x)

5.  lets say you press square! Then Ashe perform her quickening attacks, then randomly you will see another set of buttons for you to choose.. Note, most of the time you don’t see any buttons to press.

6.  If you don’t see any triangle or x or square to press,  Press R2 for Random, and hoping that there would be another button for you to press for the next chain, but you only have around 4 to 6 seconds, but the more chains you have, the faster the time runs out!!

7.  with around 5 or more hits, you might unlock a powerful final Blow of quickening, this includes inferno, catalyst, torrent and more… this final blow will hit all enemies around you !! and accumulate all the damage you unleash with your Quickening.

Note.: Start practicing using Quickening by going near to a Save Crystal, and find monsters to practice your Quickening.
